My name is Sheree Shannon, and I am running for City Council, District 4. As a proud Brentwood resident for 23 years, a mom of three, and a grandmother of four, I've managed my husband's remodeling business for 36 years while also serving as a Realtor, author, and co-founder of Rise Up, inspiring women to pursue their purpose.
Leading by example, I am pursuing my purpose to positively impact our city as I partner with the Mayor and City Council to create an environment where every resident can thrive while feeling safe and connected.
Public safety is non-negotiable. When tragedy strikes, response time matters. We must ensure our emergency services are fully staffed and have what they need to keep us safe.
Smart city planning requires strong infrastructure while protecting the character of our existing neighborhoods. We need responsible growth that strengthens our local economy, expands housing opportunities, provides quality jobs, and preserves the Brentwood we love. Moving Brentwood forward will take fiscal responsibility, integrity, and strategic planning, and I am prepared to bring those qualities.
My experience managing a successful business for 36 years through economic downturns, changing markets, and the pandemic has prepared me to make sound decisions, solve complex problems, and lead with confidence. I will bring that same proven leadership and practical experience to serving Brentwood.
